I took photos at the O'Connell High School homecoming game this past Friday. Tried my hand at sports photography in a poorly lit field. Makes you appreciate the high ISO capabilities of these modern cameras we carry around nowadays. Photo above is the Buccaneers quarterback Corey Mallia on a run in the first half. 1/400 sec at f/4.5, 240mm, ISO 6400, noise reduction applied in Adobe Camera Raw.
I am surprised at how sharpe he is at that shutter speed. You did a great job od isolating him and showing action. Looks like you have a new career at Sports Illustrated!

ReplyDeleteNice job Steve. You shooting with the 28-300mm here (240mm)? You need to either pick up the 200-400mm F4 or the 300 F2.8 VR if you plan on making any money from it. :)
