There seemed to be some interest in my last post about how the Lucis and sepia layers affected the skin in this portrait. So, above is the default image right out of Adobe Camera Raw.
I like the original better too --- he looks younger and healthier! The sepia image is nice, if you want a rugged, aged look and haven't achieved that status naturally.

The sepia effect seems to reduce the slight hot spots on his forehead and right cheek.

I like your post processing in the first image, but you must admit, you started with a very good base. Good shot.
